Veterans Services Program

Who We Serve:

Veterans, active-duty service members
preparing for civilian life, National Guard,
Reservists, and military families.

At RiverValley Behavioral Health, we recognize that the challenges associated with military service do not end when service members return home. Whether you’re a veteran, an active-duty service member preparing for civilian life, a member of the National Guard or Reserves, or a military family member, navigating the transition to civilian life can be complex. Finding the right resources, understanding available benefits, and knowing where to turn for support can often feel overwhelming.

Our Veterans Services Program was developed to help bridge that gap. We provide personalized mental health support, care coordination, and connections to services that promote wellness, stability, and long-term success. Our goal is to ensure that veterans and military families have access to the resources they need while helping them navigate the systems and services available in their communities.

RiverValley Behavioral Health has proudly served veterans since 1967. Our Veterans Services Program expands on that commitment by offering specialized support that recognizes the unique experiences of military service and the challenges that can arise during and after the transition to civilian life.

We understand that every veteran’s journey is different. Our approach is centered on meeting individuals where they are and helping them identify the resources, services, and supports that best fit their needs and goals.

While behavioral health services remain an important part of our work, our approach extends beyond treatment alone. Overall wellness is influenced by many factors, including housing stability, employment, education, family relationships, financial security, and access to community resources.

For many veterans and military families, simply knowing where to begin can be one of the biggest barriers to getting help. That’s why our Veterans Services Program is designed to provide guidance and support while helping individuals navigate the many resources available to them.

The transition from military service to civilian life can bring both opportunities and challenges. Whether you’re preparing to leave active duty, recently separated from service, or adjusting to life after the military, RiverValley Behavioral Health can help connect you with resources that support a successful transition.

Our team can assist with navigating benefits and community resources, identifying housing and food supports, exploring employment and workforce opportunities, and accessing education, certification, and training programs. We also help connect veterans and their families to peer support networks and other services that strengthen community connections and improve quality of life.

Veterans and military families often encounter complex systems when seeking services and support. Understanding available benefits, determining eligibility, and finding the right point of contact can be frustrating and time-consuming.

Our team works to simplify that process by helping individuals identify their needs, connect with appropriate resources, and navigate available services. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or a loved one, we are committed to helping you find a path forward.
